Hello, it's christine!

I first fell in love with calligraphy when I moved to Orlando, Florida in 2016. I had just gotten married to my husband, Michael, and stepped back from my career in the baking and pastry industry. Knowing I was getting a little homesick and going stir crazy from no longer living the active lifestyle of a cook, my sister bought me a calligraphy set for Christmas that year to help vent that creative energy. Calligraphy filled that creative void almost immediately and gave me the same passion that I used to get from working in the kitchen professionally - with the added benefit of working with clients more closely!

After much support and encouragement from my husband, family, and friends, I finally took the plunge at building a business from this passion and so, Littera was created. 

The Latin word, "littera", means the letter of the alphabet - which my childhood friend suggested would be a smart play on words to name my company after, seeing how calligraphy is the art of drawing letters. I couldn't help but agree, especially because of my long time interest of the Latin language!

I humbly present Littera, a bespoke modern calligraphy company that offers home decor, signage, stationery and customization for anything you can think of - if I can write on it, we can customize it! I can't wait to see what we can create together!
